I am a 3x AWS Certified Professional, with a track record of solving problems effectively. I am also currently training to become a fully-certified AWS Instructor, so I can share my love of AWS with others. I am on the way to completing all 11 AWS Certifications also! I love learning about new technology, long distance cycling, writing, reading, playing drums, listening to music, going to live concerts and hiking. I am currently training to run 6 marathons this year also. I am also writing a blog about AWS, read it here! I also love posting to LinkedIn! and I have YouTube! channel in which I aim to inspire others who are starting their cloud journey.

Technical Pre-Sales Consultant Ideagen PLC - May 2021 - Present

  • I am helping many customers understand the in depth technical aspects of 14 of our enterprise products, which are hosted in AWS and MS Azure
  • I am discussing high-level technical concepts in a way which non-technical people can understand, in order to communicate the value our products can provide the business.
  • I am fluent in understanding and discussing the technical implementation of the enterprise level software including security aspects, architectural design, as well as discussing functional and non-functional requirements
  • I aid the sales team in answering technical questions about the products, building the customers trust in the security posture of our solutions hosted in the cloud
  • I complete InfoSec questionnaires on behalf of our company, in order to highlight Ideagen's strong security posture and product highlights.

AWS Academy Student E-Careers – Aug 2020 - Present

  • I am currenty teaching AWS Cloud Practitioner and Architect Associate course material to Academy students on evenings and weekends. This is preparing me to become a fully qualified AWS Instructor while ensuring my AWS knowledge is maintained to a high standaRD.
  • Taking part in many lengthy classroom sessions, which cover all the course content for AWS Cloud Practitioner, Architect Associate and Architect Professional.
  • I am currently training to be a AWS Certified Instructor, by teaching many classes on different AWS Concepts on evening and weekends.

  • I brushed up my knowledge of AWS whilst learning basic GCP, Python, Java, SQL, Spring, HTML, CSS, Git, Linux, Docker, JavaScript, Jenkins and more.
  • I have practiced these endeavors in order to greatly improve my technical breadth of knowledge, and to make me a more well-rounded technician.

Course Creator Internship Go Cloud Architects – Jan 2020 – March 2021

  • I designed an online course in the AWS Cloud with Go Cloud Architects, and Mike Gibbs. This involves a lot of heavy technical writing, delivering technical presentations and improving my interviewing skills.
  • I took my knowledge of AWS technologies and outlined them in an easy to understand way, desinged to help our customers pass either Cloud Practitioner, Architect Associate, and Architect Professional.
  • I designed practice questions for each of the three aformentioned exams. This activity requires a deep understanding of the exams and how to answer the questions and pass the exams!

Technical Account Manager Safe Fence - January 2019 – September 2020

  • I personally managed many high value accounts. This included regular maintenance of contact to ensure we were meeting their needs as our customers and going above and beyond to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and trust in the short and the long term.
  • The keen focus that the customer experience was paramount guaranteed that the customer was more than satisfied with the service.
  • Explaining technical concepts and products to customers who had little to no knowledge with the solution being discussed. targets and KPIs all the while engaging in lively and talkative conversation with clients.
